Bloomberg already reported previously that the next generation iPad would feature a quad core processor, LTE and a revamp in design. Today, BGR have posted images of the iPad 3 in developments which hints towards the same configuration. In the images, two versions – iPad 3,1 and iPad 3,2 which are codenamed J1, J2 indicates one with Wifi and another one with LTE+Wifi capabilities.
Perhaps, the model no. of the processor used by Apple in iPad 1 (A4) is S5L8930X and that of iPad 2 (A5) is S5L8940X. This time, a different model number has come up for the iPad 3 which is S5L8945X. Hence, the probability of the iPad 3 with a quad core processor increases. If it happens, the iPad would be the first ever iOS device to include a quad core chip. However, there is no evidence on the type of display to be used by Apple in iPad 3. Hopefully, it would be of higher resolution in comparison to its predecessor. And the design could be thicker from the edges to engulf the display properly. Check here for more photos. What do you say about it?
